Warranty Policy
Limited 12-Month Warranty
Like Cabinets warrants to the original purchaser of Oceania Cabinetry LLC products that the cabinet boxes, doors, hinges, and drawer glides will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal residential use and proper maintenance for a period of twelve (12) months from the date of purchase.
Proof of purchase is required. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to products used in residential settings. No representative of Like Cabinets is authorized to modify or extend this warranty.
What This Warranty Does Not Cover
This limited 12-month warranty does not cover:
● Normal wear and tear
● Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, accidents, or improper maintenance
● Improper installation, handling, storage, or unauthorized modification
● Environmental factors (e.g., moisture, excessive heat or cold, artificial or natural light, humidity, smoke, chemical cleaners)
● Natural disasters or other acts of God
● Labor, removal, reinstallation, or transportation costs
Repair or Replacement
If a product is determined to be defective within the 12-month warranty period, Like Cabinets may, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the defective component with a functionally equivalent part.
Replacement parts may vary in style or color due to product updates or availability. In some cases, return of the defective item may be required for a replacement to be processed.
Like Cabinets will cover the cost of the repair part or replacement part only. All other related costs—including labor, removal, or reinstallation—are the responsibility of the customer.
Natural Variations Disclaimer
The natural beauty of wood includes variations in grain pattern and color, which are not considered defects. Over time, exposure to light, air, and household environments may cause wood to darken or mellow. This is expected and not covered under warranty.
Products with hand-applied finishes such as glazing may display subtle irregularities, including minor drips, brush marks, or color variation from piece to piece. These are part of the artisanal nature of the finish and are not considered defects.
Painted surfaces may exhibit hairline fractures at joints due to wood expansion and contraction—this is a normal condition and not covered under warranty.
Legal Rights & Limitations
This warranty is valid only in the United States and is subject to applicable state and federal laws.
All implied warranties are limited to the shortest duration allowed by law or the twelve-month period of this warranty, whichever is shorter.
To the extent permitted by law, Like Cabinets disclaims liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on such damages or the duration of implied warranties, so these exclusions may not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may also have other rights depending on your state.
How to Make a Warranty Claim
To make a claim under this warranty, please contact the Like Cabinets distributor or authorized seller where you purchased your products.
All claims must be submitted in writing to Support@likecabinets.com, along with a description of the issue and proof of purchase documentation.
Warranty Claim Procedure
To initiate a warranty claim, you must:
1. Notify us in writing via email at Support@likecabinets.com
2. Submit the following within 30 calendar days of discovering the issue:
a. Original order number
b. Clear, detailed photographs of the defect
c. A written description of the issue and the affected area
d. Proof of purchase and installation dateClaims must be made while the original purchaser owns the product and resides at the original installation site.
Remedies
If a defect is confirmed under this limited warranty, Oceania Cabinetry Inc. will, at its sole discretion:
- Provide replacement components (subject to availability and possible style or color variation)
- Offer a repair solution using original or functionally equivalent materials
- Provide a partial credit or refund if a replacement is no longer possible
Labor, installation, removal, freight, and incidental costs are not covered under any circumstances.
Transferability
This warranty is non-transferable and applies solely to the original purchaser at the original site of delivery and installation.
Disclaimer of Implied Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby disclaimed. If implied warranties are imposed by law, they are limited in duration to the term of this express warranty.
Limitation of Liability
Oceania Cabinetry Inc. shall not be liable for any incidental, consequential, or indirect damages, including but not limited to lost profits, loss of use, or costs of removal and reinstallation.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have additional rights under state laws. For residents of Illinois, this warranty complies with the Illinois Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act, and no part of this warranty limits protections afforded to consumers under applicable state statutes
